Openreach Phone Number No Longer Available
New Policy Restricts Customer Contact
Customers Must Use Online or Automated Services
Openreach, the UK's largest broadband network provider, has announced that it will no longer provide a customer care phone number. Customers will now be required to use online or automated services for all broadband, phone line, and Wi-Fi issues.
The change in policy is intended to improve efficiency and reduce costs, according to Openreach. The company says that the majority of customer inquiries can be resolved through its online self-service portal or automated chat service.
However, some customers have expressed concern about the lack of a direct phone line to customer service. They argue that this will make it more difficult to resolve complex issues or to speak to a human representative in case of emergencies.
Openreach has stated that it will continue to provide support for vulnerable customers, such as those with disabilities or those who do not have access to the internet. These customers will be able to request a callback from a customer service representative.
